Implements AWWA's legislative agenda by monitoring legislation; organizing congressional education; coordinating annual AWWA Water Matters! Fly-In and related member communications with Congress; and supporting legislative focus of the Water Utility Council.

Analyzes a wide range of regulatory and policy issues related to drinking water, with a particular emphasis on source water protection, energy policy, cyanotoxins, and climate change, and consumer confidence reports
