For more than 100 years AWWA has developed voluntary standards of minimum requirements, materials, equipment and practices used in water treatment supply. They are used by thousands of manufacturers, distributors and facilities worldwide to ensure the highest quality products and service.

Benchmarking is providing useful tools and industry-developed processes that are key to management success for water utilities. It enables the use of common metrics and performance measures in tracking performance against internal target, as well as engage with peer utilities to compare performance and share information about underlying business practices.

Partnership for Safe Water

The Partnership is an unprecedented alliance of six prestigious drinking water organizations. The Partnership’s mission is to improve the quality of water delivered to customers by optimizing water system operations. The Partnership offers self-assessment and optimization programs so that operators, managers and administrators have the tools to improve performance above and beyond even proposed regulatory levels

Partnership for Clean Water

The Partnership for Clean Water is a global optimization and recognition program for wastewater utilities. It is established as a parallel program to the Partnership for Safe Water, which has successfully been helping drinking water utilities optimize performance for more than 20 years. The first Partnership for Clean Water program is for wastewater treatment plant optimization, with programs for the optimization of reuse facilities and collection systems to be launched in the future

Community Engineering Corps

Leveraging the membership of Community Engineering Corps’ alliance partners – American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, and Engineers without Borders USA – we bring more than 200,000 technical professionals and students together to serve communities across the United States. These individuals volunteer their time and expertise to assist communities that do not have the resources to access engineering services. With a strong commitment to community-driven projects, our volunteers work alongside community members to design solutions to identified problems.
